Steelwork and Ironwork Across Bristol
Bristol and the wider West of England are a regular run for us, straight across the Severn from our Ponthir workshop on the M4 and M48 crossings. We cover the city and out into North Somerset, Bath and the surrounding towns, carrying the finished work over and fitting it ourselves rather than handing it to a third party.
Bristol and Bath hold a great deal of Georgian and Victorian property, much of it listed or in conservation areas, where new railings and gates need to match existing ironwork closely. We hand-forge to suit period frontages, and because estuary air is hard on steel, every external piece is hot-dip galvanised before painting so it lasts.
Working Across the Severn
Crossing the bridge is routine for us, so Bristol customers get the same service as those nearer Newport: a free site survey, a fixed-price written quote, and installation by the team that made the work. Common jobs on the Bristol side are matching heritage railings for Clifton and Redland terraces, driveway and courtyard gates, external and fire-escape staircases for commercial premises, and balustrades for converted and new-build flats.
