Wrought Iron Gates & Railings
Traditional ironwork, hand-forged in our Newport workshop since 1919. Driveway gates, pedestrian gates, railings and fencing, made to measure, hot-dip galvanised, and fitted by our own team across South Wales and the West of England.
Forged by hand,
built to outlast us
Wrought iron is the oldest thing we do, and still the thing we're best known for. Five generations of Lloyds have shaped it in this workshop, heated, hammered, scrolled and welded by hand, the way it's always been done.
There's no shortcut to a proper wrought iron gate. The scrollwork, the collars, the finials, each piece is formed individually and fitted together, which is exactly why it looks the way it does, and why it lasts. Machine-pressed panels never quite land the same.
Every gate and railing leaves here hot-dip galvanised and painted as standard, so the South Wales weather doesn't get a look in.
Taylor, our welder and blacksmith, has five years on the tools and a real passion for the traditional side of the craft. He's the one at the anvil doing the scrollwork and the forged detail that makes a gate look hand-made, because it is.
& fencing
Wrought Iron Driveway Gates
Double or single swing driveway gates, made to your opening. Scrollwork, spear tops, bow tops or plain bar, designed to suit the property, not a catalogue. Automation-ready if you want it.
Pedestrian & Garden Gates
Side gates, garden gates and matching pedestrian gates to sit alongside a driveway pair. Same iron, same detail, scaled to fit.
Wrought Iron Railings & Fencing
Boundary railings, garden fencing, balcony guards and estate railings. Period-correct designs for Victorian and Edwardian properties, or something cleaner and more modern.
Decorative & Ornamental Work
Scrollwork panels, brackets, window guards, arches and one-off ornamental pieces. If you can draw it, or describe it, we can usually forge it.
Restoration & Repair
Repairing or matching existing ironwork, replacing rotted sections, re-hanging dropped gates, or fabricating a new leaf to match an old one. Older properties. We're used to it.
Galvanised as Standard
Every exterior piece is hot-dip galvanised before painting. It's not an upgrade or an optional extra. It's simply how we protect iron for the long term.
We make it.
We fit it.
Free Site Visit & Measure
We come to you, measure the opening properly, check the ground and the posts, and talk through what'll work. No obligation, and no charge.
Hand-Forged to Order
Made in our Ponthir workshop to your exact dimensions and design, then galvanised and painted before it ever leaves us.
Fitted by Our Own Team
No subcontractors. The people who made your gate are the people who hang it, posts set properly, gate hung true, and automation wired in if you've gone that way.

Forged & Galvanised
Your ironwork is made by hand in the workshop, then hot-dip galvanised and painted in your chosen finish.
Fitted On Site
We set the posts, hang the gate, and make sure it swings true. Automation commissioned if you've specified it.
Every one made by hand
A few of the gates and railings we've forged and fitted across South Wales. No two are the same, because no two driveways, or customers, are either.
