A gate made properly should last decades. We've been proving that point since 1919 — hand-fabricating metal gates across South Wales for homes, farms and businesses that want something built to last.
Off-the-shelf gates are fine if you want something generic. We don't do generic. Every gate we make starts with a conversation about what you actually need — the opening width, how you want it to look, whether it's swinging in or out, and what kind of use it'll see day to day.
We work in mild steel and wrought iron, and everything we produce is galvanised and painted as standard. That's not a premium extra — it's just how we do things, because it's the right way to ensure the finish holds up for years to come.
Residential driveways, farm entrances, commercial yards. Single leaf or double. Solid infill, bar-and-rail, or something more ornate. We'll work to your brief and make sure the end result is exactly what you had in mind.
The most common brief we get. Whether it's a modest single-leaf for a terraced house or a wide double gate for a detached property, we'll match the style to your home and the opening width to the millimetre. These can be flat-top, bow-top, arched, or whatever suits the architecture.
A side gate is often an afterthought — it shouldn't be. Done properly, it completes the boundary, adds security, and ties in with the driveway gates. We can match any style we've made elsewhere on the property, or design something independent if that works better.
Working gates need to be tough. Farm and agricultural gates see hard use — they get shoved, leant on, and driven into occasionally. We build ours with that in mind: heavy-gauge steel, robust hinges, and a no-nonsense finish that won't let you down in the field.
Some gates are as much about appearance as they are about access. Scroll work, panel detailing, or something inspired by the period of your home — we can work with you to design something that looks considered rather than just functional. Our wrought iron work has a long tradition behind it.
Each gate is made in our Newport workshop, not ordered from a catalogue. That means every joint is welded, every bar is cut to size, and the whole thing is assembled by hand.
Before any paint goes on, every gate is galvanised. This isn't optional — it's how we protect the steel against rust from the inside out, giving decades of corrosion resistance.
After galvanising, we powder coat in your chosen colour. The finish is tougher than paint, resistant to chipping and fading, and looks sharp for years without maintenance.
We don't cut corners to fit a standard size — your gate will be made to the exact dimensions of your opening. No gaps, no compromise on how it hangs or closes.
Heavy-duty hinges, quality latches, drop bolts where needed. The hardware matters as much as the gate itself — cheap fittings on a quality gate is a false economy.
Planning to automate now or in the future? We can build the gate with automation in mind from the start — the right weight, balance and hinge positions make the job far simpler later on.
