A good set of railings does two things: it keeps people safe and it looks right. We've been making both happen for over a century — bespoke metalwork, galvanised and painted, built to last in the South Wales weather.
Railings tend to be practical first and decorative second — but there's no reason they can't be both. We work with homeowners, architects, housing developers and commercial clients across South Wales, making railings that are strong, well-finished, and suited to where they're going in.
Every run of railing we produce is measured on site, fabricated in our Newport workshop, and fitted by our own team. Nothing is off the shelf. If you've got a specific height, post spacing, or top-rail profile in mind, we can work to it. If you're not sure what you need, we can advise.
From a short front-garden run to a long boundary installation or internal stair rail — the process is the same: measure properly, make it right, fit it properly.
The classic domestic choice. Bow-top railings are familiar, tidy, and work well on front gardens where you want a clear boundary without blocking light or views. We can match existing ironwork or produce something new from scratch.
Clean, contemporary lines that suit modern builds and renovations. Vertical bar railings without any decorative top work well where simplicity is the brief — particularly alongside new builds, driveways, and car parks.
Internal and external staircases both need something solid. We fabricate stair rails and balustrades to suit the tread width, riser height, and overall aesthetic of your staircase — whether that's an external fire escape or a feature internal stair.
Paint alone won't protect steel indefinitely — particularly outside. Here's our standard finishing process, and why each step earns its place.
Cut, shaped and welded in our Newport workshop. Every joint is fully welded and ground smooth — no tack welds, no shortcuts.
The steel is submerged in molten zinc. This protects from the inside out, giving decades of corrosion resistance regardless of what the Welsh weather throws at it.
A tough, even finish applied electrostatically. More durable than wet paint, resistant to chipping, and available in a wide range of colours. Black and dark green are the most popular for railings.
